Certificate IV in Map You

  1. As an individual, by completing this course you will ready to take the next steps in development of your new career or business. This course is all about creating new opportunities or rebuilding old ones, it is re-inventing your self in a very real and practical way.
  2. If you are part of a multicultural group or Indigenous community, this Course will give you the leadership skills and a system that will enable you to take your community or group on a journey of growth and development, to create and launch new opportunities. This Course is also of great benefit to community people to become trainers.
  3. If you work within an Industry and are in a situation of building community relations, this Course will provide you with a proven and simple system for community engagement and to subsequently create many new opportunities for your local communities and your organisation or industry. This Course is also intended to train Trainers, to train locally.
  4. Another possibility on completion of this course is to become a trainer of the Map You Course, for delivery in your area of work, your industry or your local communities as your own business venture or as staff development.

Course Duration

This is a part time course

The WEBINAR version of the Map You Course will run for 8 weeks as a weekly webinar and personal teleconference mentoring sessions with the Course developer. This opportunity is unique to the Webinar delivery only and is available only on acceptance of an application.

The ONLINE version of the Course that will be launched in 2012 will be approximately a 16 hour self guided course.

The Course provided by a Registered Training Organisation, such as a TAFE will be over an 8 to 10 week period.

Entry Requirements

You need to be at least 17 to enter the program (with or without a Yr 12). You need to have a good grasp of the English language, both written and spoken, or have the support of a translator. You would need to be prepared to challenge yourself to grow both professionally and personally. Entry is not guaranteed.

Career Opportunities

This Course is predominantly of value to those wanting to create new opportunities in their communities or industries such as new business and career opportunities, the course will also be of great value to the vocational education sector i.e. trainers.

This Course is also of great value to anyone working or wanting to work within a context of building community and stakeholder relations or in community development contexts, such as employees of mine sites, national parks, tourism ventures, Indigenous communities, local government and many types of NGOs
